Homework By Erica Lane. What are your learning styles? What have you learnt about yourself from the Hermann Brain activities this week? I think that my learning styles are working individually, listening to music helps me concerate. But at times i working better in groups it really does depend on the task that has been set.
I don’t think that i have really learnt much more about myself, based on these Hermann brain activities that we have done this week. But one thing that did really surprise me was the overview- big picture, and the freedom to explore. I don’t really seem the person to look at things like this usually in some situations. Did you disagree with any of the findings/observations? Explain
No i wouldn’t say that i disagree with any of the findings or observations. It was good and interesting to find out new stuff about myself. And to see another side to myself and the ways that i find and work best.
Were you surprised by anything you discovered about yourself this week? Consider for example, what you learnt about your learning style, working in teams or observing others in the group …
A few things surprised by what new things i discovered about myself.I always knew that i work well individually. The part about me looking at the big picture part surprised me. I find it different and interesting also fun to work in a group. It’s good to find out about other people and what ideas they have to contribute. Do you think you rely too heavily on one style of learning? What new skills would you like to develop?
I don’t think that i rely too heavily on one working style.I like the way i learn, i get my work done, and try my best at nearly every task that i am given. I don’t think there are really any new skills i would like to learn. I think that if i didn’t get distracted so easily it would really help me a lot. What questions has this raised about:
A. You as a person?
B. You as a learner? It hasn’t really raised many questions for me as a person. I see it as i am still the same person as i was before doing the Hermann brain activity and still the same person afterwards. It doesn’t matter what brain test i do, i don’t think it will change me as a person, but it might when it comes to learning for example. But i did find out some new things about myself that i found really different and interesting. So there aren’t really any new questions that need to be raised about me as a person.
I found out quite a lot of things about me as learner. Not really many major questions that need to be raised. The only real question that could be raised is that on the Hermann brain activity is everything really true about my learning styles. For example that i look at the big picture and overview in some things.
